Defibrillator check out
1. Make sure machine has no visible damage from traveling
2. Check battery is attached and in place(underside of machine), plug in machine and and make sure ‘battery charging’ light is on.(top right hand corner)
3. Remove paddles and check that the adult portion can be removed to access pediatric paddles
4. turn on machine and set at 10 joules, with paddles clear of anything or anyone charge machine. When fully charged, discharge machine. Repeat at 360 joules.
5. Turn off machine. Keep machine plugged into the wall.
